The Bloomington Road Work Improvement Project is a privately funded initiative designed to reduce traffic and improve safety.
Currently, Locust Ave. Armstrong Rd. and Jurupa Ave. are all two-lane roads. The Bloomington Road Improvement Project will expand Locust Ave. to four lanes and Armstrong Rd. and Jurupa Ave. to five lanes. The project will build 1.5 miles of new storm drain facilities and add sidewalks, traffic signals, and trails.

The project started Q1 2024.
Road closures will consist of two phases:
Additionally, Armstrong Rd will be closed daily (until 4:30pm) Aug 14-Sept 21 for utility improvements.
The project is expected to conclude in early 2027.


Full closure from 7th St to Jurupa Ave

Partial Closure between Locust Ave and Cedar Ave
